Re: spare video cams
I have 3 units that are brand new, version 3.62 already hacked, -*test*-('")ed,updated to double the resolution. Each includes a removable USB cord and software on a CD. These are plug and play $100.00 inc shipping. Jetboy You may want to read up on the policies of this forum. Your selling of a camcorders for $100 falls under section 3. Which is forbidden due to your high profit margin. Please read this: http://camerahacks.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=34

Guys, Where exactly did you end up soldering your battery leads to? I'm trying to make a similar setup for air recording but I'm using a small Lipo cell (180mAh) instead. Those solder points where the 4 pin connectors goes are TINY! -Wayno-san

bobbarker- 06-24-2006

I've never soldered anything up, but the pads where the cable connect to are the best bet. Having the juice goes in there disables any \"auto off\" things that might go on, plus the pads are large and easy to get to.

Wayno-san- 06-24-2006

That's probably where I would normally shoot for but the top 1/3 to 1/2 of the camera is going to be sticking out of the plane and I was hoping to keep all the wiring below deck (internal to the plane). -Wayno-san

jetboy if you want to make money off camcorders...ebay....

bobbarker- 07-28-2006

He probably has that crap on eBay. Simply rediculous.

KiddKill- 07-29-2006

why did you drag this thread up just to post that

eddyet- 02-25-2007

I was wondering if anyone could post pics of how they mounted this camera to their heli? I just found this page and have a blade cx2 that i think i am going to try and mount my camera to. TIA, Etrik

Free Fall Video
I am a new to the group so perhaps someone will take pity and point me in the right direction. I was pondering the other day if I could capture reasonable video onboard a foamy so I strapped a CVS-Camcorder on a Hyper-Active-33 and flew a gentle pattern around a local park. http://www.hroads.net/~wadesrc/Batteries/OBHA33.avi The second flight was a bit more spirited and when I initiated an inverted snap roll about 2 minutes into the flight, The camera launched over the plane and then proceeded to "Free-Fall" over 200 feet with forward momentum landing safely at the base of a brick wall. The camcorder exploded on impact so I carefully collected the pieces and snapped everything back together at my shop. Despite the fact the recorder no longer functions, I was able to retrieve the first video but I fear the second more exciting "Free Fall" video file may be corrupted because the recorder lost power on impact before the file was closed. I was able to download the "IMG" file (125MB) before the camera solidified into a brick but I'm clueless how to retrieve any video data from this file. I would greatly appreciate if any of you experts could suggest how I might possible retrieve this lurking video file. Thanks, Wade

Search these forums for partition information, extract p2/no_name from the img file and use winimage to recover data.

If you can still access the camera and you've not deleted or recorded or done anything to the camera you're likely to get the video back (fairly eaisily). forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3903" target="_blank">http://camerahacks.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3903 My camera only lost power due to batteries (didn't hit a wall :P).
