Another waterproofing method -video-
Pretty simple here- I'm sure many of you have heard of the "Food Saver" which vacuum seals your food for freezing. Well I packed up a camcorder in it and took it to the pool today. The only trick is that you have to use something to raise the plastic bag off of the buttons. The Play Record and Delete are too close to the surface and get pressed when the vacuum sucks in. I used pieces of match sticks around the buttons. I had it in the water for about two and a half hours today with no problem. I do the same thing with my blackberry when I go swimming! With most vacuum sealers you don't have to let it suction all the air out, just most of it then press to seal the bag. There is also handheld sealer at wally world for something like 10 bucks, I picked one up a month or so ago.
