bricked a camera with bad firmware? After dozens of successful firmware revisions I think I may have bricked my first PV2. I tried the resurrection method and pinching it, but I can only get 1, 2, or 3 beeps and the computer does not detect the camera even with a good cable.
It happened when I uploaded some slightly modified firmware with I believe an infinite loop in the code and after trying to turn it off and remove the batteries to get it to stop, it seems to be bricked.
Any ideas if it can be fixed?

PV2's are practically impervious to permanent bricking, short of physically damaging the flash memory chip itself. In fact, most hacks require you to enter bootloader mode, which allows you to upload any arbitrary v8 program you like.
Do some searching, and you will find your way.

I have what I believe is a similar issue. It appears the camera is in bootloader mode after a bad flash update. It beeps twice. I have tried the resurection method and I get a "Program Upload Failed" error when I try to run the .PV2 file. Any suggestions? I am not entirely sure I have a good FIRMWARE.BIN but it is the one I downloaded right after I unlocked it. This is a 6600 Red PV2.
Thanks
Matt

Did you see any messages about the checksum being modified? The bootloader does check binaries to make sure they are valid.

I got it figured out. Thanks though.
