Broken contact I was working on getting a usb connector onto my camera and when i was soldering a wire onto the second contact the gold tab came off and now i cannot connect to my computer. Are there any other places i can solder a contact on to bypass my problem?
Thanks for the help.

As i was soldering it i heated solder onto the contact and then when i pulled my soldering iron away the gold tab came with it.
I'll try to get some pictures

is there part of the foil partern just past were it came of. If so take a little sharp knife scrap the green protective coating and soder your D+ to tha as long as its was connected to that contact.

as i scraped it away i noticed there are two copper leads in front of it there is one that is thin and leads up towards the top tab and there is a small "dot" that doesnt lead anywhere. Which of the two is the right one?

well i connected all but that one to my computer and plugged it in and it worked when i connected the last wire to that dot but didn't work when i connected it to the other contact. but that dot is too small to solder to and i was wondering if there is any other place i can solder to.

I belive it is a double layer board so if the lead stops and goes no where it is going to the other side of the board. and both data lines go to L5.......I think

do you have a fine tip iron? if so put it on the little dot then apply solder with your iron still on the dot and tha should give you a spot to solder to
cause i just did it my self to see if it could be done and it works
