Camcorder light
Camcorder light, I took a palm connector and shaved to fit, opened it and smoothed out the inside (removed all protrusion), drilled 9-5mm holes in face of connector, wired them , plug it in and POOF... How is it powered up? I there voltage present at the usb connector while the camcorder is on?

Pin 4 of the edge connector is connected to the + battery terminal. now that is creative, you should add a small usb connector to the top of it too so it can double as a cable adapter

Space is to tight, to combine and get good light, unless one explores other led options. I am using 50k mcd 5mm right now. I have not found brighter yet in 5mm.

i was thinking maybe mini-usb connectors and 3mm leds, but i see how even then things would be getting pretty tight in there. still cool stuff

I dont have any mini usb's would like to have some though. I have 80 some odd 3mm ir leds laying around. I guess I will be putting in some to use soon
