Camcorders which can and can't be opened

A few M230's have been unlocked. Also the Target version M225 has been unlocked by a few.

I wonder if the new ChronusKey utility will work on the M100 cams? Perhaps we will finally see a video off of one.

Look at the bottom of the camera through the packaging. Somewhere should read \"M200\" or whatever the model the camera is.

Usually. Sometimes there are coupons or inserts that may give a clue as to the age of the camera. In addition, worn cameras are probably recycled.

Alright, i think i am going to go out and try my luck on this, looks like good fun and a helpful community. I am hopin for that m200 3.40 though, Wish me luck.

If you get a 220 or a 230, the quality is better and it can still be opened. It just requires a (legal program) that Pure Digital has a problem with and about which they have made some threats. Your odds of getting a 3.40 are basically null. They are over a year old at this point.

All currently available camcorders can be opened without opening the case via a key generator utility. Unfortunately, said utility is no longer supported, or available, on this forum. I can't go into more detail than that.
