Can the camera be used as webcam?
Can the camera (red or blue) be used as a webcam? Under what kind of system, Linux, Window or Mac and How? Thanks

I'd like to know that too and maybe I'll run across the answer in my firmware explorations. I am thinking that they are not capable, however, if the Flatfoto or one of the other SMaL based cameras supports a webcam mode then it could work on the Red or Blue CVS cameras. So, does anyone know if the FF2 has a webcam mode?

No "webcam mode" has been found in the SMaL camera firmware. FF2's are pretty close to the one-time-use cameras, but they do have live preview on the LCD screen, which is a step closer to webcam mode. There are some old threads around here which discuss discoveries of how the camera can be forced via USB to take a picture. If a driver was written that continually forced snapping pictures, downloaded the results and then reformatted that to act like a video stream... presto, slow webcam. But, it looked like a real bitch to write a video driver - and real webcams aren't very expensive... so I lost interest in that line of inquiry.
