Can't unlock
I just bought a red pv2 model 410 with the folowing nerve pinch: 6600 06 2B 2B DB4061700563 20 I used quickinstaller to get it set up so that my computer recognizes it. I ran pv2tool to get it set up. Here's what i get: Found the camera: SMaL Digital Camera, VID:0DCA PID:0027 Found camera. Connected to camera. I have C2R and i tried to use that, but when i do, it just spits out 0's as a response. I don't want to try any shorting methods or long complicted methods if possible. Is it bad that i have opened, tried to unlock, and closed this camera multiple times over the last hour or so?? P.S I am going on vacation after today and would like to take this so please respond quickly.... Thanks if anybody can help me with this problem!!!!!

you're gonna have to reformat challenge string to match the other ones in the pv2keys.txt file. c2r won't process it otherwise

i finally got the chance to post here, and have the same question, but no answer on how to present the newer key format..." C 02 5E e8 54" etc.. let alone how to navigate once opened. any help would be appreciated. ps: i have several of the camcorders, and they all work great for me, but what do i use to convert the movies to another format? cc

to reformat it you just remove the spaces untill you get 4 equal lines for the challenge. this is an example. my challenge was in ** ** ** ** **.... i had to change it to **********. (*'s being the challenge) if you need mor help say so

I unlocked a video camera, this is the first time I am trying to unlock a picture camera.

what did you use to unlock your camcorder?

I used OPS v0.15 for the video camera. I am using PV2Tool-219 for the still digital camera, but like I said before I cannot unlock the camera. When I click unlock, I get the above message. What should I do?

What he is asking is if you used Cronuskey or unlocked via old hardware method. If it was by Cronus, it will also unlock the cameras as well as the camcorders. If it was via a hardware method, I suggest you search for Cronuskey and grab yourself a copy.

I just did the hardware mod on my camcorder to make it work. This is the first time that I have heard of Cronuskey. I just downloaded it, but what do I enter for "my challenge?" What data am I using to replace the letter C with?

In the window of pv2tool, you should see a bunch of number that look similar to this "02 33 44 55 66 etc.". What you need to do is to remove the spaces and add the C in front of it. In my opinion publishing a response key is both less ethical and less legal than publishing a link to cronuskey! I am sure others have different opinions - including master morcheeba. I thought he took a huge risk in publishing the original response key.
