Casemod possibilities? Greetings,
I'm new (obviously), I purchased a M410 from Long's for a short trip to Hawaii. I'm in the process of installing a USB connector and have had ideas floating around in my head for a while about the possibilities of 'casemodding' a PV2 into an old Kodak Brownie or other box / twin reflex camera of the same era. The idea behind this would be to give me a digital camera to discreetly carry at a lot of the events I attend which are themed in the early half of the 20th century, mostly '30s and '40s.
...not only that, it would be kinda cool to have a digital Brownie.
I've noticed the leads to the SMaL array seem to be wrapped around a 'coil' arrangement. Is it possible to detach the imaging sensor and lens as a whole from the PCB, unwrap the leads and attach it to another surface(namely, for my purposes, just inside the lens opening of a box camera)? I might be able to hack the unmodified chassis into another enclosure, but not being able to move elements such as the 'shutter'(not power) switch, the batteries, the LCD, and the imaging sensor limit my options.
Open to suggestions, fire or flame away.

Sounds like fun. I may like to try it too some day. You could get a use a Polaroid and add a picture printer to it...now that would be a cool hack.

Kodak Brownie Hawkeye casemod Hi!
I've tried to use a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye and put a M410 in it with no sucess. The Brownie has a center lense and the M410 is offset too much. It was a bummer. but I am also interested in finding other cases to fit a M410 in. I was thinking of a old Polaroid Swinger or Land camera would be neat. Very retro 60's
