Caterpillarclub's VERY expensive TSOP clip in action...
Sorry YouTube messed up the quality of this vid quite a bit, but it was too big to put on my website. This video shows Brandonu's Smartmedia reader hack, using OnBelay, the Rat Shack Smartmedia reader, and Caterpillarclub's EXPENSIVE TSOP clip made by Emulation Technology http://www.emulation.com/. The camera is firmware version 33.19. Many thanks to caterpillarclub for trusting me with his expensive toy, and giving me a crack at troubleshooting his setup. It's nice to see it up and working. 1) connect cam to OPS to record the challenge 2) take the cam apart 3) connect tsop clip to chip 4) Run Onbelay, suck out firmware. 5) put cam back together 6) Use a hex editor to search for the challenge key. 7) extract the response. 8) Create a saturnkeys.txt file and put in the ops folder 9) Run ops and open and unlock the cam. 10) go into view / change cam settings and revert the key to the reset key and then on any pc running ops, your good to go.

My tree to tree dialup prevented me from D/L'g the entire thing (as it does all the videos on here) but I got far enough to see the setup in action and listen to the BlueManGroup...... pretty neat thanx and CPClups pseudo Block Diargram is enlightening as well. Thanx for that too Tinhorn

'The Blue Man Group' made Intel commercials a zillion CPU generations ago. I think they play empty sheetrock pails with drum sticks in Times Square in NYC now...

Actually they play in Vegas, I was just there and really wanted to see them but I had already spent all my money on hookers.... I mean poker....

My mom is visiting from out of town for a few days. I explained (in general terms of course) the video camera hack, and showed her my cam and some of my videos. I showed her my TSOP clip video in this thread, and she said 'Oooo. I like the music.' (the song is 'Smack My Bitch Up,' by The Prodigy). Mom starts singing along... 'Snap My Picture.' Ha Ha Ha... Gotta love mom.. :)
