CMOS or CCD whats the difference?
Can you look at a sensor and tell if its a CMOS type or a CCD type? Is interpolation done in the sensor or done with software in a chip or somthing?

CMOS only uses about 40% of pixel area for detecting photons and thus requires micro lenses to redirect light, but offers silicon logic at pixel level.
