CVS camera survives my model plane crash!
I've taken many flight videos with this plane using a CVS \\"disposable camera\\" but this flight I decided that it would be cool if I did some loops and rolls. Well, I did not think before hand about the added g-forces of the camera weight on the structure of the plane. On the video, you'll see what happened...Sorry for the dark and wobbly pictures but I took this video around 7pm and it was a bit breezy... http://media.putfile.com/Acro-Final

Put the video on putfile or youtube or something, we have to register to see it...and I (we?) really wanna see your plane crash (no offense...just makes good video)

How high did the camera fall from? Nice video...and good accident investigation.

That was a sweet video. Sorry to hear your plane go trashed though. Hope you can get a new fuse done soon. I saw a plane in a dive once (brand new) and the trailing edge sawed through the rubber bands, so the wing flew straight off and the fuse did a straight nose dive to the ground and burried everything. The wing came down like one of those little helicopter leaf seed things (but flipping over backwards).

How high did the camera fall from? Nice video...and good accident investigation. It was at a good altitude, I'd have to say about 200 yards or so. The plane fell like a rock once the wing separated, nose dive like a bomb. Funny thing is that time seems to slow down during a crash. That video shows the plane down in a few seconds. Good news is that I have a new and better bird now!

OUCH!

Old plane: New plane:

I've got a huge .40 trainer that I havn't used in ages (on to real flying...). I've been meaning to bore holes in the sides/bottom so I can angle the camera out of it.
