CVS VIDEO CAM project help I am working on a project were I would need a small camera and small screen to show live images. Almost like when you look at a camcorder screen before you hit record, It just shows exactly what the camera sees as you move around. I dont need the record feature. Can I take a part the cvs, separate the peaces so the screen can be moved to say 2-12" from the camera. Or can I buy a small camera or cell phone and take apart and just use the screen and the camera. An example of what I am trying to do is say to hook the camera to a dogs color, and hold the screen in my hand. As we walk I would see what the dog sees. Any links or help is appreciated.

get an M200, they have a detachable imaging chip. make an extension cable to the mainboard,.. viola.
although.... im not sure if the cable could go that long and make the proper connection with the camera.......

Would the camera just unplug from the board. What is the correct name for the extension peace for the camera and were could I get one. Is the extension peace flexable?

the imager chip does just unplug from the board. ive seen pictures before of somebody with an extension cable for it (i dont know the correct name), mabey if somebody else knows what im talking about they could help you better. oh and yes, its flexible.
so does anybody know who im talking about?? i think he used it for an model plane project.
also,... i dont know how good you are with soldering small wires or anything like that, but i dont see why somebody determined enough couldnt just solder wires from the imaging chip straight to the mainboard.
tension may be a problem, but im sure that theres a way to do it.

if tension is a problem you could cover the solder joints with hot glue and get thin nylon rope and intertwine the wires with nylon rope.
Also you would need lots of wire, go to the dollar store and they sell 25 foot spools of like 26 gauge wire which would be good
i was just wondering why would you want to see what the dog sees?
you'd have to mount the motherboard to dog without hurting the dog, or without the dog trying to get it off
if that doesnt work, if you were desperate, you could buy a security camera and put it on the dog
