That is the coolest thing i ever seen. I like the little cockpit guages and stuff too. If the plane was larger ill bet it could fit under a window canopy and look even more realistic looking threw the glass. The next thing he needs to do it build a little lifesize cockpit and mount all the radio transmitter controls inside it.

What he needs is a Hellfire missile.

I gotta get one of those! Too bad we don't have wireless on our cams... Incidentally, does anyone know if a micro model rocket will fire out of the side of an R/C airplane?

I smell a plan a brewing

That's pretty cool. Live video though, and those goggles, probably costs a lot more. Because you don't have to look at the RC plane to fly it, you'd have to make sure you don't fly the plane out of RC/video range, heh. I can see it now... "Oh no the screen went black, where'd the plane go!?" You wouldn't even know where to look. (PS: Google France?)

I gotta get one of those! Too bad we don't have wireless on our cams... Incidentally, does anyone know if a micro model rocket will fire out of the side of an R/C airplane? I've fired bottle-rockets of RCP's. They only go about 20-40 feet; the plane is already flying nearly as fast as the rocket, so the tiny engine can't fight its drag. I didn't want to risk burning my foam wings off with an 1/4-1/2 A size engine. What is needed is a custom-missle for RCP use; wing-like fins, slow-burning and long thrust. Not hard to make your own engines from saltpeter, rust and surgar, & press them with a modified car-jack. I'm interested in that. I glanced at the USB standard and got discouraged. I wont be brewing my own USB host, nor do PIC or low-end Atmels come with a usb host I can plug a USB cam and a USB WiFi dongle in to. I like USB data-rates, and the ability to mate it to a WiFi xcvr for a xmit system cost of ~$30. There's a trade-off to be made for maximum distance between video bandwidth, video compression, transmit power and the battery weight to power the video compressor. Perhaps I can rip the LCD system out of a CVS cam? It would still be useful to view, compress and record the recieved video. If you noticed the end of the video, a web-site http://www.rc-cam.com/ was listed. Sorry if you don't find me around here for a while...
