$F208 hardware register
$F208 seems to be involved with flash and possibly other functions. found in banks 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 of all firmware versions. is only checked if it is zero, either to wait until it is zero or, in bank4 if it is not zero after a specified amount of time has passed, then a function is called that sets $f204 to $ff, and called again setting $f204 to $90. possibly this is clearing or erasing or marking bad blocks of flash?
