good luck setting up a mingw32 envionment. that's the one thing that stops me from really having a good build of avidownload on windows.

I finally got objdump.exe compiled with a MinGW environment set up as per the instructions at http://wiki.videolan.org/Win32Compile for a "Native-compile with MSYS+MINGW" The objdump-mips.exe binary is on the wiki now.

where do i put firmware.img?

i have a problem. where do i put firmware.img? In the same directory as the exe and use CD to switch to that directory before executing objdump.

AAAAAAH. What am i doing wrong? Use OPS "Download Firmware" to create a .bin file instead of using OPS download flash which creates a .img file. The input file should start with "ELF".

Il try to figure things out before i ask from now on. now i just have to get dismipper to work with the newer models. btw, anyone have dismipper changed so it could work with m230? thanks in advance.

btw, anyone have dismipper changed so it could work with m230? I believe BillW modified it to partially work with model 220s. I decided there were too many offsets involving too much time and instead just used uncommented code from objdump (good training for thinking in MIPS) when experimenting with my firmware rewrite process. However - I was aided by having the original 3.40 commented code in a separate window.
