Mac OS X driver
I have no problem using Windows to do the 'hacking' and 'unlocking' type stuff. But I prefer to use the cam on Mac. Is there any drivers I can use to pull video off on a Mac once I unlock the cam on a Windows PC. Also, it would be 'nice' if someone would port the Ops tool and PV2tool to Mac. Pretty please :D

mac compiling
Im running Mac OS X as well and downloaded SaturnDownload, im trying to compile the source be cant get it linked to the libusb library correctly (compiling from command line). Can anyone give me tips on how to do this?

Any answers on the OSX driver?
I work with a bunch of Mac users who are interested in this hack, but as is obvious they all have Macs. Anybody have any idea about the possiblity of getting this to work on the Mac? Is anybody even working on it? Thank, Epic

If I get time later, I may try to compile the command line version of this. If that works, and I have MORE time, I may write an applescipt application around it to make it gui-fied. But those are 'if's.

So far it won't compile, it's complaining about a lack of 'usb.h" and 'windows.h" I'm looking into it.

Corscaria- 08-04-2005

you can comment out the windows.h include. thats only in there to make my compiler shut up, i don't even need it, heh. and make sure you have the mac version of libusb installed, thats where the usb.h is from

My mac was the first computer to unlock the camera, so don't worry - the hack is definitely mac friendly. I'll get around to releasing code soon - it now unlocks, but I haven't done the download yet.

Thank You morcheeba, Just a general Thank You for your Herculian efforts. Thanks Again, RayM

cmstar's port of SaturnDownload http://members.cox.net/~ivier/SaturnDownloadOSXLatest.zip http://members.cox.net/~ivier/SatDl_MacOSXsrc.zip http://members.cox.net/~ivier/LICENSE.txt

Corscaria - Thanks for hosting. The next release will include source, license, and be more cleaned up. All - For those wanting to use this port. It has only been tested on 10.4.2. And it requires that you have libusb installed. I used the latest build 1.10a. I will look into bundling a binary version of libusb and making a proper installer. But at least us Mac folk have something now. :D Its my first port. I'm so proud

app fails to run under osx 10.3.9 yes, libusb is installed in the default location. double click on the app and nothing happens

Think I found the problem...
Looks like you're referencing something that you shouldn't, considering I don't have it! here's what I yanked from the Console: ZeroLink: could not load .o file: /Users/cstargel/SaturnDownload/build/SaturnDownload.build/SaturnDownload.build/Objects-normal/ppc/main.ob Hope this helps...

cmstar, can we get some source to build under 10.3.9? please?
