I would not buy those, they are not hackable. If you are looking for a hackable still camera, stick with M410's only. You should steer very clear of any M510 and M610 cameras period. It looks like there is a new version camera in circulation now. Anyone actually have a model 610? Maybe they increased the crappy quality, not that it matters because we can't unlock them. Here is an auction for a single m410, that is hackable. http://cgi.ebay.com/CVS-One-Time-Use-Digital-Camera_W0QQitemZ110254774369QQihZ001QQcategoryZ31388QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Here's the auction. You are looking at a lot of 3 CVS one-time use digital cameras. Each camera can take up to 25 indoor/outdoor pictures. Some featrues to this camera are: self timer, preview and delete photos, automatic flash with red eye removal, and fully automatic exposure. All three cameras are brand new, still sealed. Be sure to check out our other auctions to save on shipping. We accept paypal and money orders. Paypal users must have a confirmed address. We only ship within the United States.

^ | thats the one im asking about i asked the deller those are the numbers

Don't buy them if you have plans of hacking them, because you can't. Pure digital changed the interface needed to hack these cameras. Older versions are straight usb connections. The m510 and m610 use a off board usb solution.

Yes, model 510 is unhackable (so far :-)...) Did I miss something? When did model 610 cameras start showing up?

Yes, model 510 is unhackable (so far :-)...) Did I miss something? When did model 610 cameras start showing up? Just recently - I went searching for a 610 today and found one at the nearest CVS, but since I couldn't detect any external difference between it and a 510 I did not buy one. If no one else takes one apart and identifies differences, my curiosity will eventually take over and I'll have to have a peek inside. After my non-scientific post claiming that a 510 was inferior to a 410, I believe everyone lost interest in attempting to hack the much more difficult interface. forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3748" target="_blank">http://camerahacks.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3748

I bought this, yes...
I'm adding it to my collection. I have a few Model 400, and plenty of model 410s which are starting to show their age due to low-level light "snow" I also got a couple of 510s, and I'll soon add the 610s. I'll take pics of them 610s and post them when I recieve them. I fixed the problem using a temporary measure. I replace the plastic diffuser with a square of paper, and I put a piece of frosted cellotape in the front. Currently experimenting with an upward deflector design - a piece of business card with foil on the inside, cut and bent so that it deflects the flash upwards. It works well for closeups of the eBay-type popcorn kernel I have(looks like a Tudor king) I know we will need to develop a dongle that logs into and accesses the 510s/ 610s if we want to keep this board alive with fresh new ideas. I know it would take a little bit of PCB/ chip controller work in addition to the usual Palm cable. Things are not as easy they were before. We've done a great job of unwrapping the enigmas of the Model 4xx cameras and the Model 2xx one-time use cameras. Now let's step up to the plate and unwrap the 510s and 610s, hmm? It would also be nice to use this to transfer the firmware of the Flip to the Point and Shoot.
