Mounting a lens directly in front of a canon hv10 lens
Mounting a lens directly in front of a canon hv10 lens -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello guys, I just got my canon hv10. I want to attach a lens using my lens adaptor, to the canon hv10. I use the 37mm × 0.75 lens adapter, that works fine, but the problem is that when I screw the lens into the ring adapter so that the new lens get positioned in front to the canon hv10 lens, what happen is that , this new lens, can not get close the canon lens. What I mean is that the canon hv10 does not have a cap for the lens, but it just uses a slide mecanism that open and close in front the canon lens to cover the lens as a cup. This mechanism, does NOT let my new lens to get directly in front of the canon lens, so the image get distorted on the sides. What I mean is that my lens need to get directly in front of the hv10 lens , and unfortunatelly this does not happen so the light that goes through the lens and goes into the canon hv10 lens get deviated, and the video that get recorded on the minidv tape , it gets distorted on the sides. When I instead screw my lens to my old jvc grd72, it works perfectly, no distortion at all. This happen because the jvc has a lens cap and not the mechanical mechanism of the canon hv10,so the lens get direcly screw in front of the hv10 lens. 1)Is there any way to solve this problem on the hv10, screwing my lens closer to the hv10 lens?? 2) another question is, why the canon hv10 has a rectangular shaped plastick around the lens? What is the porpouse?? thank u
