If you can't find any 410 PV2 cams, I've still got plenty of 'em. $11.10, shipped (that's the discounted rate for money order payments, other forms of payment will have a small "handling" fee).

xm_sleepR- 08-29-2006

ok os i bought it $13.64 lol the only had 2 410 tho and the other CVS only has 510 wtf so here it is model 410 Firmware 6600 Hardware 06 Type ID 2B CMP typeID 2B so first steps first whats the first thing to do? easiest way to put USB in there?

xm_sleepR- 08-29-2006

ok so i cut up the parallel port cable to fit in there but before i put that in but i got an idea before i took apart the usb extension cable i was going to use would it just work if i cut the shield of the female side and put the board up to the chip in the camera do the wires line up?

UnEmploymentDude- 08-29-2006

Jeez, I barely understood that. No it would not work, the wiring is different, plus the USB connector is too small.

bobbarker- 08-29-2006

I think he's talkin' about the parallel cable kind of cable. It's dooable, just search around for 'Centronics Cable'. That should show you what you need.

xm_sleepR- 08-29-2006

yea buts it turns out i messed up my centronics cable :( i ordered the palm cable from ebay $8 blew my budget :( that one fits prefectly in the slot tho right

bobbarker- 08-29-2006

Yeah it's worth the money to get a good cable. It might cost you a few more now but it'll make life alot easier...

xm_sleepR- 08-29-2006

but this cable fits perfectly into the camera slot? no problems if i wiggle it while uploading?

UnEmploymentDude- 08-29-2006

I wouldnt recamend it but it should work fine.

CamCam- 08-30-2006

I wouldnt recamend it but it should work fine. Why? The M100 cable works way better than a centronics.

xm_sleepR- 08-30-2006

i hope so ima try to mod another centronics cable tomorrow before the palm cable arrives...

CamCam- 08-30-2006

The centronics works, but is more work and has a higher degree of failure.

xm_sleepR- 08-30-2006

i need to exhaust my resources also need help with programming i download PV2tool 2.19 and libusb-win32-bin-0.1.8.0 any modifications to these files whats first thing i do when comp finds new hardware?

CamCam- 08-30-2006

First install libusb. Then goto the libusb program directory and find the inf wizard. Now plug in your camera, then run the inf wizard and select the camera from the list and create your inf file (remember where you save it). After that just point windows to the inf file you just created when it asks.
