My first MACRO photos! Hey All,
Been lurking for a while now, finally got my red CVS digital working (thanks to this forum) and had to play with unscrewing the lens. The focal length now is just under 1".
I've uploaded some macro pics to my new shutterbook account. Check them out!

Nice photos!!!
I personally like the photo of the electrical tape. Looks similar to a vinyl record :)

I thought so too!
I've added some more pics to my gallery. This macro stuff is FUN!
Because of the macro mod, I had to cut a hole in the case to fit the shutter mechanism. It now sticks out ~3mm past the front of the camera. Any ideas on protecting it?
I was considering a clear plastic cylinder the same length as the focal length. To take a pic you'd just hold the camera with the cylinder pressing against the object.
Any ideas on what material would be good for this? I was thinking something similar to a 35mm film case with a piece of something optically clear in the bottom. But I would think the walls of the cylinder should let light through for a better pic. I took most of my macro pics with half the flash covered with a piece of electrical tape.

Great photos scodoer!
Nice to see somone having as much fun as I did when I first unscrewed my lens! Can you capture a reflection of camera in pupil of your eye? Perhaps with more red - then you can become red_eye or brite_jr! 8)
