My first MACRO photos!
Hey All, Been lurking for a while now, finally got my red CVS digital working (thanks to this forum) and had to play with unscrewing the lens. The focal length now is just under 1". I personally like the photo of the electrical tape. Looks similar to a vinyl record :) I thought so too! I've added some more pics to my gallery. This macro stuff is FUN! Because of the macro mod, I had to cut a hole in the case to fit the shutter mechanism. It now sticks out ~3mm past the front of the camera. Any ideas on protecting it? I was considering a clear plastic cylinder the same length as the focal length. To take a pic you'd just hold the camera with the cylinder pressing against the object. Any ideas on what material would be good for this? I was thinking something similar to a 35mm film case with a piece of something optically clear in the bottom. But I would think the walls of the cylinder should let light through for a better pic. I took most of my macro pics with half the flash covered with a piece of electrical tape.
