Need help - can't open camera The info for my CVS camcorder shows as follows:

I am running Linux, but I think this is more a unlocking problem, not an os-specific problem. I have ops-for-linux and also have avidownload. Here is what I am running into, and since I'm new at this I have no idea where to go now. Any help would be appreciated!

Try shortening your USB cable or checking to see if you have any shorts between cables.

okay, seriously, i haven't even been back that long, but really. this post was from almost a year ago. it's way over with.
stop just trying to reply to everything.
and yes, i know his problem is solved. i helped him with it, and he's one of the linux developers now.
