Merlin853 asked: New problem is that there is no libusb.inf file in the bin folder. Instead there is an inf-wizard. Now what? Since I twist screwdrivers and other pointy objects for a living, my answer may not be as elegant or accurate as the IT gurus that frequent this site. Anyway, I will try to explain as I understand the process... The inf-wizard.exe is used to create the .inf (Information File) that Windows needs to install and setup the camera. How to use: 1) Plug in your camera. 2) execute program. 3) it should report the camera as something like this: 4) On the next screen, type in CVS for the Manufacturer Name field and the description (yours may vary) from the previous screen in the Device Name field: 5) Save the file in the same folder as the inf-wizard. Next, use the Found New Hardware Wizard or go to Device Manager to install the camera. 1) At the first screen choose: No. not at this time. 2) At the next screen choose: Install from a list or a specific location. (Advance) 3) At the following screen click browse and point to the folder that contains the .inf file you created. This all may be moot if you already have an .inf file named PV2 Driver.inf. Browse to that file instead of creating your own. The wizard should be able find the other files it needs and finish w/o any intervention on your part. If it asks where to locate any additional files point it to the same folder that contains the .inf file. You will need to use PV2Tool to open your camera and Cronuskey-1.3 to decipher a response to the challenge key. If you need help ask, but first search the site and see if you can find the answers and links. Good luck, FRU swapper – it is what I do - literally

Regarding the cable: You can -*test*-('") it out with a multimeter. Try a different USB port or different computer. Which type of cable connection are you using? There have been others (including me) who have problems soldering on a USB connection.
