Need Help Learning Ops/Customization Hacks
Well, with the help of a lot of research on the forums, guidance from others, and a great deal of help with my 53.18 type "17" challenge, I've been able to unlock my CVS Camcorder on my Mac with VMware Fusion running Ops 0.23 in Windows XP. I've noticed that in the Ops 0.23 I downloaded that theirs several versions of the application, and depending on which libUSB you install is, depends on which one you should use correlating to it. I don't really know what the differences are in the versions, and if I've used the right one, or how that could affect my use in the program with my CVS Camcorder. I've successfully unlocked the Camcorder, and changed the Splash/Shutdown screens which is nice. Still thinking about changing the sounds. But I wanted to be able to change the resolution up to 640x480 like I've heard about people doing before. I know the information is somewhere in the forums, and I keep searching but having a hard time finding the info. In Ops when I click the change setting button it just pops up an error: Couldn't change directories change directory to / failed Failure to change to directory / I also get an error when I try to enable mass storage. Not sure if I need to do some extra hacking or using the wrong version of Ops out of the four that I notice are in the folder. Also was wondering if there's a working version of applications out there for the Mac OS 10.5.5 out there. Most of the stuff I find needs to be complied or I need to install drivers although I read some older applications for the Mac didn't require any drivers. I know I'm just trailing of on a little rant, but I pose these questions in hopes that someone will help point me in the right direction, or give me some much needed info. Thanks, Rebelord :P

That warning shows up after your camera is powered down, then you attempt to open something without first opening/unlocking camcorder.

the versions correspond to which version of libusb you have installed. in range of errors for using the wrong version, it may malfunction a bit, or crash completely with an ordinal error

That warning shows up after your camera is powered down, then you attempt to open something without first opening/unlocking camcorder. Funny thing is I do have the CVS camcorder on and unlocked when I get that message while trying to Change my resolution settings. the versions correspond to which version of libusb you have installed. in range of errors for using the wrong version, it may malfunction a bit, or crash completely with an ordinal error Could it be that I've installed the wrong version of libUSB and therefore be using the wrong version of Ops that I should be using with my CVS camcorder. :?: And if so, which version of the four included should I be using with my CVS Camcorder FW 53.18. Thanks for your guys insight into to this matter.

Try all 4 individually. Remove the camcorder from the computer after each try.
