One-Click Setup
I don't mean to intrude on CaterpillarClub's CamcorderKit (Thanks for the quick reply CaterpillarClub), this is another way to install OPS and set up the drivers for the Camcorders - automatically. Sorry, so far only for Windows. This is a autohotkey based script that will: 1. Download la-*test*-('") drivers 2. Download la-*test*-('") version of OPS 3. Extract OPS into a folder, and the drivers into the system32/drivers/ directory 4. Prompt the user to plug in the camera 5. Automatically setup the drivers for the camcorder - No messing around with the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' anymore! I made this because I found that most people had difficulties with either getting the la-*test*-('") OPS version, or driver issues. Hopefully, this will end those problems. You can download One-Click Setup 0.1 here, 534KB Version 0.6 is the la-*test*-('") version currently, goto page two to download it Just extract the ZIP, run 'One-Click Setup.exe' and follow the instructions. Source code is included. One you are done, you can move the 'OPS' folder to anywhere you want. Make sure you don't have any drivers already installed for the camera, I'm not sure what will happen if you do. Enjoy ry.david

Again, very nice job. I'm going to try to use it on a pc I don't have it installed on. Of course you need an internet connection for this to work, but I think it's very well thought out, and it's a lot better than trying to hold someone's hand along the process, especially if they've tried a few times before....

If this works out this will be excellent for first timers. Good Job

I gave this a sticky... Good work! Thanks! Anyone new to the cameras ever try this? Results?

Now you just need to make it auto-use cronuskey and unlock the camercorder

CamCam- 09-09-2006

If he did that, he couldn't post it here.

Now you just need to make it auto-use cronuskey and unlock the camercorder  Titan/SaturnChallenger does 1/2 of it for you, but I really don't like the idea of blowing my minimum wage savings on a court case

great job ry.david, very handy program! I have made autorun menus like PV2Menu forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=4161> I have made one that will work for One-ClickSetup. Once extraced and copied into the \camcorder\ directory, it will give easy access to titan and ops. It can also be easily edited to allow for other programs that may be later added to one-click setup. I use the \\\"A 1 2 many 4 all\\\" banner as the splash logo. I know I need premission, so BillW many I use the logo? Once I get premission from BillW, I can e-mail the menu to you, and tell you about the little setup it requires. What do you think?

Actually, binaryweaver is the one to thank for the logo! I'm pretty sure he'd be happy to donate it's use to software for our community though.
