ops 0.21 problems with CVS regarding changes.
Some information first about camera I'm using and software. Operationg system = Vista OPS v0.21 (libusb 0.1.12.1) Found the camcorder: Pure Digital Inc. Saturn , VID:167B PID:0101 Found camcorder. Connected to camcorder. As you can see Ops works fine. I recently changed the resolute to 640x480 and Enabled Mass Storage. Turned Off Camera...turned back on...everything looks fine. Problem I have is that Ops says it is downloading the record movies....but there is nothing there...non playable movies...of 64bytes in size. It is like it can't find the recorded movies. Next problem is Ops won't allow me to change any of the settings anymore...I get this error: Challenge and response keys retrieved from camcorder: S YourNameHere C 04e31e3c25900ad57b67387465933540fd18010571b96833fb198f2a1320ceb4 C e3a0bdd3fb3992be467aaa263c4865bd5a8437f9cfe8fc1579328c5a0f85909c C a00c94073ce05d1cf12c7cf6f98f23d231c138cecd7aa8f14a8ffe6ca55e341f C cb6dc85f504e13f763c6d76c022e17866a182b0bd23613ce58780ce83c756146 R af09b9908c7992c7f54785bce0a658719b9abab8bff0491fb38dd25b7a7dcf54 R bc8d2b7781bb83169564f82b86ca75d287ec67b482b97d3eeef31425488a1c4b R a66fd5f446b9944063dc7ea1bfb440b4b4c4f6c12ff791cc89fae260c5df0c1f R 5dea27bd3a5124a85851cefc72d9b250ea2eb215c199419e35dbc82e8d85cad6 Camera revision retrieved from camcorder: 03.40 Good news everyone... the retrieved challenge doesn't match response. Attempting unlock succeeded in unlocking camcorder Camcorder unlocked When I lick on View/Change Cam Settings : "Your configuration file failed a sanity check. It's probably in an unknown format. Aborting" I can successfully record movies and play them back on the camera...but OPS doesn't seem to wanna download them. Anyone out there able to help me out? Bsugar

Download ops23. ALWAYS USE THE NEWEST VERSION. There is probably a bug in ops21 that is causing you diffuculty that maybe able to be fixed with the newest version.

0.23 same problems
Ops 0.23 does the same thing. Can't download from camera. Ops 0.21 and 0.23 allow me to see the directory structure, find files...just not able to download the full file. 64bytes seems to be the max. I'll post some 0.23 info. --------------------- OPS v0.23 (libusb 0.1.12.1) - Use this software at your own risk. The author takes no responsibility for any damages. Make sure your cable isn't too long or running through a usb hub. Also give it a good check on the quality of the connection you have the usb hooked to the camcorder.

cable is not long
ops recognises that there are movies to download but doesn't or can't access the data properly. The cable I'm using is only 1 foot long. Everything works fine with the camera. I just can't download any of the movies after making the 640x480 change. Nor can I go back to the default 320 settings for video. It's like OPS can't access the data properly. Any other advice? configuration file corrupt it seems
When I try to do a view/change cam settings it says that the config file fails. There any way to fix this? Bsugar

Update
Ok...I decided to try it on my windows XP home machine. And it works fine. For some reason the Laptop with Vista was causing problems. It did work for a bit...so i'll be experimenting with Vista and the Lappy again soon. At least the camera isn't pooched as I had originally thought. Bsugar
