If you have a 53.14 ops nor cronus will unlock it...yet. post your debug page from ops.
Hey, I hope this helps with the process. I've got a 53.14 camera that I'm really looking forward to using, once y'all smart people figure out the cryptography. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
Looking forward to the next version of OPS!

The challenge key was the same as response. Moving on to try known keys...
Checking if the Reset key matches the challenge
Last ditch attempt. challenge=response, but trying a regular unlock anyway.

I just found out at the worst possible time... I am at a convention and I got two cameras full of convention video clips, and I've been on the verge of exploding, since the firmware 53.14 just came up.
How about making an XML-able format of OPS, with several firmware sections, each pertaining to the functions. Kinda like an open-socket device the socket has a breadboard where users can quick-wire connections. The different firmwares just have different responses to instructions. Yes, it could make it more of a "brickmaker," so see my next post.
The cameras have a zoom function now, but I don't really need that. You'll have to have arms like a statue for it to work that well. Nobody can do that. Who wants 20 minutes of shaky footage?

well, the firmware interfaces themselves are the same...and when a "tweak" happens that we need to change our software to use, the older versions of firmware work just fine with the modified code. we're more or less just fine-tuning the software to work with everything...it's not big sweeping changes or anything.

Whole flash enable locations for newer models:
53.12 m230 8018f7a4
47.08 EZ105 801be140
For those unwilling to wait it is easy to hexedit ops.exe changing version and location. I changed 33.19 to 53.12 and 8012f828 to 8018f7a4 (33.17 to 47.08 and 8012f6c8 to 801be140).
I recently added a 53.14 patch to my OPS. Here is a list of my patches to OPS 21 using a Hex editor:
changed 33.19 special partition code to 53.12 (m230) 8018f7a4 (was 8012f828)
changed 33.17 special partition code to 47.08 (ez105) 801be140 (was 8012f6c8)
changed 03.70 special partition code to 53.14 (m230) 801b13c4 (was 801300c4)

I'm just learning all this stuff, so I'm still in noob mode...
If I patch OPS (or just recompile it with these changes), then for my m230 with fw 53.12, does this patch allow me to download the ENTIRE 128MB flash image, as it would appear exactly on the flash chip?
I would like to get the complete 128MB flash image so I can attempt to re-flash another bricked m230 fw 53.12. I would either have to de-solder/flash/re-solder the bricked flash chip, or I might attempt one of the in-place jigs with lots of wires and stuff.
Bit.
