Over exposed video
I'd like a hack that causes artistically-over-exposed videos. I doubt a firmware parameter based setting exists and there probably is not an easy electronic modification. Please freely contribute your thinking without fear of appearing stupid. Consider this a skunkworks style brainstorming thread!

Boost the res to 640x480 and block enough of the view of the camera so it compensates for the extra black in it's view and boosts the brightness. Easiest way, imo.

It's been a while since I played with them, but some of the monitor commands did have a direct affect on the image when I ran them. Maybe try "aem 0" and see if the cam still reacts to changes in light. If anything comes of it, you can either capture the video tethered, or download ram a few times after flip flopping the necessary parameter(s) a few times and look at the difference to find the areas to change.
