Red CVS Cam beeps once, won't unlock, won't power on, HELP?
I'd be glad to mail it to someone, since I'm so confused looking through all the forums and websites about the red CVS camera. Here's what I have: A Red CVS camcorder, 6550, pinch said it was 2B. I did take all the pictures so it says "Camera Full" or whatever the message is. I build the cable, downloaded and installed LIBUSB 1.8 and PVTools 2.14. I connected, it installed fine, and PVTools found the camera. Then I started trying to short out the pins while unplugging, counting, and replugging the USB cable. I got the right number of low beeps after about 11 seconds, and did the SDRAM search for keys. However, none of the keys worked. So I waited a bit, did the USB out/in again, dumped some more keys, tried them, no luck. And yes, I did restart PVTool and unplug/replug the USB cable. I tried deleting the first key, resaving the keys, trying, deleting the next one, etc. I did this about 5 times all with different keys, none unlocked the camera. On the 6th time, I'm not sure what went wrong. When I plugged in the USB, the cam gave one low beep. It now refuses to turn on, just emitting one low beep. No screen, no pinch, nothing. I've tried new batteries, too, just in case. I apologize if this has been answered. I just can't seem to find it. I'm blundering around through posts and websites, and not having much luck. Can anyone suggest a course of action, or can I mail it (post paid for returning) to someone to try and unlock/retrieve the pics?
