rewrite 93lc46
Do any of you know any way to rewrite a 93lc46 EEPROM using a parallel port? I tried spiprog but it doesn't work with that chip. I would prefer a program that works with Linux.

Try Ponyprog for linux. Does it have to be for the parallel port? I use PP all the time via serial port for s24c02 and 04s at work, programmer was super cheap a couple of zener diodes and resistors providing ext power to device via lab power supply.

If it works with a USB to RS232 adapter, then it'll work fine.

I have fully blown Data I/O Unisites and 3980XPIs... can program just about any chip ever made (except the 1702, MCM2801, and SDA2006). I had to build programmers for the last two chips. Never had to do a 1702...
