running ops / pv2tool off of a virtualized environment
theres a program i use called thinstall. it's located here at http://www.thinstall.com. it allows you to run a program in a virtualized environment. and i have a copy on my thumbdrive that lets me run ops off the thumbdrive, without installing camcorderkit21, or libusb. there's only a trial available, and the licensing about 4000.00. would there be a way to share it not thinstall but the program on a thumb drive?

well, as i said, i'm not sure. we'd need to check the licensing of the resulting thinstalled app, and what costs/royalties are implied or outlined for distribution. i don't know, to be the short answer. it sounds nifty. means all they have to do is download one thing, and tada, they're set. it would be ridiculously convenient. but, quite literally, it's at a cost. so we'll have to see.
