Seeing as this commmunity is on the downturn...
What other sites/projects are you guys working on? I seem a little left in the dust here with my CVS, as most everyone has moved on. Just wondering so I can get started in something before everyone leaves.....

I think a lot of ppl still pop in to have a looksee once in a while. It's just that when everything is easily hackable by anyone who can read instructions there isn't a lot of fun left. If and when PD makes a hardware/software upgrade this forum will be teeming with activity again.

yeah...it's pretty idle when the stuff's broken already. give us something new to crack, we'll be back in droves.

heh...certainly not. EDIT: anyways, i don't have the power to do that. well, theoretically, i do, considering i'm an admin, like all the others, but it's not something that would be done without a unanimous consensus. and we have no desire to close the site.

I'm doing mods to the eeepc. I'm looking to flash the BIOS with something like grub and other tools. Who knows what the next cheap accidental gift the consumer industry will drop in our laps.

I don't consider the pv2 hacked until all the hardware registers are understood, nor until we get file I/O working on user written pv2 programs, nor until a 2MP patch is completed for the 2F and 30 hardware versions. In hopes of learning more about the pv2 ASIC, I am digging into the SMaL VGA cameras' (Logitech and Oregon Scientific so far) firmware. Additionally, lots more programs could be written for the pv2 using existing knowledge. I haven't taken the time to do more of that because I'm focusing on the firmware and hardware registers. The camcorder is not even close to being hacked until fearless firmware modifications can be done. The camcorder may have even more possibilities for repurposing because of it's faster processor.
