Titan - Grab challenges from your camcorder
Titan is related to forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3826>pv2challenger-linux. Me and enigma- worked on it together, him on the linux and me working on Windows. This is supposed to be an alternative to his PV2 Challenger, since for the life of me couldn't get his source to compile under Windows (but I'm sure it is my error). Version 0.1 includes Titan, Hex, and a batch file to automate it. The details are in the readme. You can download it here, Titan

I have a total linux port, it is also only tested on 3.4s and will need to be updated for the newer camcorders. wait for me to host it and the final project will be posted here.

Thanks to Rammer, Version 0.1b is out! Since I only have a 3.4, I'll have to wait to see if this is a go or no-go on 220's and 230's You can download it here, Titan 0.1b Changelog: Updated the output portion with a few tweaks to Rammer's code Removed Hex.exe and the batch file Slimmed down Titan ever so slightly

ry.david- 08-11-2006

Version 0.1c is out! You can download it here, Titan 0.1c Changelog: Version 0.1b mispelled the output text file, throwing an error when it tried to be processed by another program

enigma-'s SaturnChallenger for Linux is now available You can download it here, SaturnChallenger

BUGREPORT: (10:00:06 PM) brianisgreater: without the camera in i get camera not found, when i plug it in titan loads into memory for a second and then closes, never even makes a visual appearance (10:00:21 PM) brianisgreater: it creates a cronuskeys files with a challenge of all 0's (10:00:43 PM) ME: what model camcorder was that (10:00:46 PM) ME: m230? (10:00:54 PM) brianisgreater: yes (10:00:58 PM) brianisgreater: with fm 53.12 (10:01:08 PM) ME: ahh... it may need to be updated for m230

Yep, thats the next bug I was working out. It will be difficult to test since my only camera got forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=32538#32538>killed today. (It's okay, I picked up another 8 hrs today at work, it should pay for a shiny 230) From forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3154&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=32>Introducing the new M230 camcorder Okay, I got into a M230 today and here's the deal... There's absolutely no new anti-hacker measures. The reason OPS isn't getting the challenge from this camera (or the Target/PD cam) is due to a bug in OPS. BillW, I love OPS to death and it is the greatest thing ever, so don't take this the wrong way at all. This really needs to be fixed: FirmwareRev=GetFirmwareRevision(); if(FirmwareRev.Left(2)!=\"33\")

enigma-- 08-12-2006

that goes into open_camcorder.c?

enigma-- 08-15-2006

saturnchallenger m220 33.17 firmware confirmed not to work. note to self: implement support for it!

I'll try to start on it Sunday, it's the only day I get off work (I haven't seen my family in two days since the way they scheduled me, afternoons/nights). :? And I still have to buy a new camcorder (later this week), so it would be impossible for me to start working on it. enigma- I looked at OPS, and all I saw was a if (firmware = ___), set offset = ___, else set offset = _____, to read the challenges from the cam. I'm thinking it might be a simple function graft (GetFirmwareRev) into Ceres, and replace GetKeys with the new OPS one

Okay it might be later than Sunday until I get a new camcorder. I was working on my dirtbike engine today, almost had it finished up and putting literally the last stud in for the cylinder. What does it do, crack the engine cases I just bought. I dumped $1500 in it in the last 4mos. and now its back were I was before.   LONG STORY SHORT: I can try to make a 220 and 230 version without me testing, but I'll need alot of beta testers.

I've got an M220 and ubuntu, I'll test it.

after looking at the linux source, i see no such thing. :( I have no idea how to implement m220/230 support. Either I'll have to wait for (i think) mconbere to implement the support into Ops-For-Linux, start porting titan, or (probably never gonna happen) have billw release a REALbasic version of OPS
