Video editing... Has anyone been able to edit these avi's in adobe after effects? It just gives "no such AVI compressor". I also tried it in Pinnacle studio and the movies wouldn't play. I have divx codecs and the files play fine in every like video viewing app.
I am really good @ using after effects so I was hoping someone knew how to get it to work.
Thanks

Ok, with virtualdub is it the compression settings you change and then save as avi? B/c after effects didn't like that either. I'm currently dwnlding windows movie maker . I think I'll use that to cut stuff together for basic stuff (if it loads the avi's). Then I'll save it to a different format and use after effects to make myself blue and stuff.
Thanks

If I wanted to edit the video directly in After Effects, and converted it to another format to do so, what is the best format/method to use so no quality is lost. It works if I use movie maker and save it on the highest setting, but I read someone complaining about the quality (and it does look lower).
How do I convert it using virtual dub?
Thanks
