well, i'm back. *ducks* pleasedon'tkillme! --looks around-- still the same things seem to be going on...looks like we're still moving in a positive direction.
radarman and falcon, i have not forgotten about you, nor have i run off with your equipment. both are boxed and waiting for me to be financially stable from college. a month, tops? i'm really sorry.
as for the forum itself...
man, life comes at you fast. i've been cranked up to about 50 hours a week, not counting sidejobs and other administrative calls. i've had a chronic ear infection, which reoccured twice...and i've been just having my body fight it on its own. not being in college for a year means i have been without health insurance for that long, too. so yeah, my eardrum blew out twice out of three infections...not fun. it has healed, thankfully, and hearing is about 95% restored. that was not a fun experience.
priority for me has been making sure that i have been able to pay off stuff and remain in the green...and that means i haven't been able to do many side projects at all . i've been doing custom programming at the coffee shop that i work at, to take over the roll of a lot of paper transactions. so far, it's been a success.
my camcorders still power on, and i'm refreshing my codebase with anewguy within the next week. i've also picked up a new project, currently on my lonesome, with reverse engineering the "IM-Me", a handheld marked by girltech/radica games, and manufactured by arrayent. so far, arrayent's been pleasantly helpful with my work, and i'm expecting a response from them on the 20th of this month.
i have not died, nor have i moved or been injured. nope, not apprehended by pure digital. just some things in life took precedence.
i'm gonna read over the forums, see what new things have been discovered or implemented, and culminate them into a new release. my devkits are still valid, so i can still compile new versions of ops, if no one has done it themselves yet.
once again, camerahacks, i'm sorry. but i think i have more time that i can devote to the forum in the future. i'll certainly make an effort to maintain a presence on here.

My hardware hacking days have pretty well come to an end for now myself. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and any "spare" money has been reallocated to baby stuff.
Hopefully, when the kid is older, I can restart some of these projects. I just hate to drop by, because I'm always tempted to hit eBay or DigiKey - and then things get ugly... ;)

wow, that's great news, radarman! i hope all goes well for the "three" of you when the time comes.
and yeah...i know that gravitational pull...that desire to tinker!
