What is your favorite program for RAW decompression? I have been putzing around looking for a program I feel is best at decompressing my camera RAW files (its the m410).
What are your reccomendations?
I have Photoshop CS2, is there some way I can use this to open my RAW files? Is this the best program to use?

pv2fetch does the best job I've seen. Don't think CS2 or anything will be able to use the RAWs out of the PV2 because it is a proprietary RAW format, and CS2 or anything won't know what to do with it unlike ones off cannon or nikon DSLRs.

When I use PV2 fetch it tells me, \"Connected to camera, but No pictures found. Exiting...\"
However, I can still drag and drop files onto it to be conveted to JPGS, so overall, not a major problem, more of an anoyance that i need to use two programs.
But you are right, it does have a better quality image than other RAW converters I had found.

Eh, I'd say there's no real one-size-fits-all RAW solution for the PV2. FF2 drivers do a good job with pictures taken with plenty of light. PV2fetch seems to do a better job redeeming darker pictures that the FF2 drivers choke on and spit up a grainy mess.

What is FF2?

What is FF2?
FlatFoto2 drivers, you used to be able to get them from RadioShack by surviving their cell phone sales pitch of doom or from a Yahoo group that no longer exists. Let's have a moment of silence for our dearly departed FF2 drivers.

so is there any place you can get them now? Or are these now \"illegal\"
When I use PV2 fetch it tells me, "Connected to camera, but No pictures found. Exiting..."
This means your camera has not been permanently unlocked by using the patch firmware function of pv2tool.
