Where can I get new/used CVS Camcorder?
Looking for a local source for new/used CVS camcorders. I live in central Texas. Already called Wal-Mart and they don't carry them. Are there any retail stores/drug stores that have them? What about online sources? I'm wanting to do the night-vision hack and head mount. Then I want to do the same to another but get more lenses to setup with a quick detatch to fit a riflescope to make a night-vision riflescope!

...how about CVS? cvs's store locater is a handy tool...not to mention you can buy them right from their website...thinking works too.

I see the camera but not the camcorder

huh...it appears they removed the camcorder from online purchasing...on both rite-aid and cvs...rite-aid has the mtu camcorder, but that's it. that's odd. they both used to have them online... in any case, you can still use either of the store locaters and find a location close to you, as i said in my first post.

Not so odd - if PD, CVS or rite-aid had any brains they would have removed those along time ago. If you aren't afraid of using computers to make online purchases - you probably can locate this site and will not return the OTU devices.

Okay scratch that. I got a used Olympus D-390 digital camera fro ma pawn shop for $10.00. Just nee to figure out which is the IR filter, any help? Theres 3 peices sandwiched in between the lenses. A small arm that has 2 positions and locks in place with a ball bearing and spring that makes the hole smaller. A flat peice of black plastic that stays in place and makes the hole smaller (but slightly larger than the small arm piece). And another arm that's made out of the same thin black plastic, pivots back and forth in front of the hole and blocks it. There's nothing else in there that I can determine would be the IR filter. Also without a memory card in it it displays in the middle of the screen "NO MEMORY CARD" how can I get rid of that without a card? On top of he above two mods I plan on riggin it to run off of 3v lithium camera battery to increase battery life. If you can't tell I'm doing the night vision hack to this camera. Any help would be great.

how to find IR filter in camera CCD
Use your TV remote it has IR emitter. Point your TV remote at your camera lens/CCD. Remove plastic/glass material you think is the IR filter from your camera. Press and release any button on your remote control -- you'll see flash of light if it is the filter.

Either way you'll see some light. You'll see a really blinding flash if you removed the filter.
